As the adult corporate, academic, and government worlds are struggling to adapt to (to a greater or lesser degree depending on the institution) cellphones, email, and Facebook, the rising generation of employees, consumers, students, and creators are seeking a cheap or free FaceTime app.
Imagine living your life as you do now, but when you needed to contact a business or someone at the DMV, or when you went to work in Washington DC, you had to find a telegraph operator and send a telegram in order to communicate. That’s what the world is likely to feel like to them.
Sure, the telegraph operators are going to lobby Congress like crazy to maintain their existence, but they can’t survive.
